portly

Been cruisin your site and looks like one of the best I've seen. Finally able to bench race and find parts from people you don't mind dealing with. Just retired from Anchorage and the long winters, and am looking forward to warmer climes here in Idaho. Been building rods and customs, muscles, anything fast and loud, for about 40 years now. Don't matter what brand or kind, they're all cool. My wife and I try to take in any car show we can get to. I have a cool 47 ford pu (thus the portly nickname), lots of custom stuff. She has a 55 chev wagon that is way cool. Couple in the works, super nice flathead and blown 392. I have always tried to do as close to 100% of the work myself. Sometimes help is needed for intricate stuff like upholstery and machine work. The rest is done right in the garage. I thought that's what building a rod meant, and can't afford a pro built anyway. Any of you heading through lower Idaho, don't be afraid to holler and stop in. Usually beer in the fridge and probably a baked spud somewhere. Great to find a decent forum for a change. Thanks to those in charge. Mike Lyman 208-436-4109
