I just got back from a 2 week business trip, and my wife and I are going to try and make a flight from here in St. Petersburg Florida to LA on the 28th to be apart of the Coolness-of-Paso Robles.
So I have her working on the travel arrangements right now (she manages a travel agency) and we are looking for some suggestions on towns to search for Motels.
I got the list from the "West Coast Kustoms" sight, butt I'm looking for some suggestions on a nice area. This will be a mini-vacation for us, as we get very little time away togather.
So, Can anyone help me out? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Paso area is probably about booked up but there are a lot of nice areas around if you dont mind a little drive to get to Paso Robles, You could check out San Luis Obisbo, Pismo Beach area all nice areas but San Luis is probably your best bet.

RotHod,
Thanks for the tip, I don't mind the drive at all.

Hard to get something close to Paso on that weekend, even when planning a year in advance.
My wife and I sometimes stay in Cambria - about a 30 min drive out to the coast from Paso down a nice curvy back road with cheap motels right along the beach that still have rooms for that weekend and its kinda nice and quite out there.

My wife & our friends as well as 32 Limey are all staying in Cambria as well. We have some other friends that just this weekend booked into a hotel there too, so I assume there are still rooms availiable.

We are booked into The Cambria Creekside Inn (http://www.cambriacreeksideinn.com/) they were almost full when 32Limey booked, but you may well get something last min, if not, try http://www.reservetravel.com/us-ca-cambria for last min deals. Used them when I have visited the USA before I moved here.
Hope this helps http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
