why do i keep getting kicked out ?

i read a post and all the replies...i type up my own reply, and go to post it...and it says that i am not authorized to perform that action. i need to log back in (even tho it says that i am logged in). after i re-log back in...the reply that i typed up is gone. i have tried to cut & paste my replies, but that doesn't work. so, i end up having to log in again, and re-type my reply. i have to do this quickly, or i will get kicked out again. this always seems to happen after i am logged in longer than 10 minutes...like it's got me on a timer. anyone know why this keeps happening ?

i had the same thing happen to me. I clicked on the checkbox for "Remember Me?" before I log in, haven't had a problem since.

It also happens to me even tho I also check the "Remember Me Box"

i didn't know about the "remember me box"....i'll try that and see what happens. it's frustrating when i get kicked out all the time.

You need to have your Computer set to "accept cookies" or it won't save the "remember me" cookie, Do you?

And how would I set the computer to accept cookies?

go to the top of the page and click on tools and then internet options. It is in one of the tabs depending on your browser.

Here's what I do to avoid that problem. When I come here, I don't login until I'm ready to post. I click on the post I want in on, get the "Not logged in" page, login at BOTH usernames and passwords boxes visible, click both "Remember Me"s then post. I'll then stay logged in until I physically log out or clear my cookies when I shut down for the night. I can check PMs by logging in at the top, but my posts disappear also if I don't do these steps as explained.

I had this issue real bad and found I had some spywere on my 'puter. Did the Spybot thing and its much better now. Still happens if I do a lot of corrections when I write my thing. Gene
