View Full Version : American spindle mounts--Need a part number
Should spindle mount Americans (ford spindle) have a dust shield for the rear bearing?
AND if there is such a part, can anyone help me out with the part number?
Thanks!

No part number for you, but Samiyam runs American 12-spokes and could help you. Here's a thread where the wheels were discussed:

Hi Ben I still don't have the rear grease seals for mine and either. Ford bearing work great but the rear seal diameter on my wheels measures 2.68" so the there weird.
Here another post from the techomatic there is a seal number in there but it wouldn't work for mine.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll check out the numbers in the links and give a report.
Samiyam, if you read this, what did you end up doing on the digger?

For 1.562" (1-9/16") Shaft and using American Racing 12 Spoke Magnesium Rims:
Use 5796 National, 49187 Victor, or 48-1190A FoMoCo.
1.562" I.D.
2.690" O.D.
3/8" = .375" Width.
