My name's Cory Taulbert and I'm from Overland Park, KS. I've got a '30 Chevy Tudor Sedan street rod that I built during high school, but now I'm working on a '34 Ford truck. I found it in a warehouse in Leavenworth, KS where it had been sitting for over a decade. Supposedly, it was hot rodded in the early sixties and came from the Witchita area. The body had been channeled and the fenders were pulled off. It had the original drivetrain and a shortened home-made bed.
It's still a work in progress, but so far I've rechanneled it, and trued up the body. It had been welded to the frame, but now it's has a one piece steel floor with cab mounts. I chopped it 4 1/2" and Z'd the rear rails a few inches. The frontend is now running a suicide setup with a dropped axle. The drivetrain now consists of a mild 59 Flattie with a PM-7 manifold backed with a T5. It running through a Champ quickchange with quarter elliptical springs. As for the inside, I narrowed a '40 dash in the center so I could keep the ashtrays and I reshaped the top of it to match the curve of the truck's cowl. I put a new shortened bed on it also to replace home-made one. Currently, I have it disassembled doing some paint prep in hopes to make it to some shows this summer.
