First of all, I'd lilke to apologize to all the offended members for posting my ad without posting an introduction first. I didn't know about the tradition and I also didn't look around the site to check for that. My name is Greg. I was told about the H.A.M.B. by one of the members that found me on the Ford Barn V8 page, when I was looking for flathead block for my dad's 40 coupe. My thanks to him again, that was a big help. Anyway, I'm 43 and into early Ford hotrods. I have had my 35 three-window I'm ashamed to say for 30 years and never got it running. After getting Dad's 40 going for him two years ago, I am stoked up to get mine going. For the last few years I have also been collecting parts to put together a 27 on 32 rails roadster. I also build and race vintage-style tether cars with some friends locally. Hope I'm worthy to hang out. If not, no big deal, have always been kind of a loner/rebel/asshole anyway. Like I put a chrome straight axle in my 65 GTO in 1983, not cool. Thanks for your time.

Sincerely,

296V8

Its a flathead ford with 4 1/8" stroke, 3 3/8" bore. That's about as big as they get.

scatered all over the highway in front of the Frostop
back in 1972. Her story was she was just driving normal.I still shutter when I hear or read 65 GTO.

Makes me wonder if it's the same GTO i saw at the CHRR in 98. Injected, ran I think in the 9s and a licence plate that reads "IBURNR"?

Welcome! Let's see some pics. I feel your pain. My '36 5 window was my Dad's first car and hasn't left the barn under its own power in 35 years. With any luck, that will change NEXT WEEKEND! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
