Donnie, I just recognized your car! You and the Olds were in Rod and Custom magazine, Aug. 2003. There was an article about you spraying the metal flake. Good stuff.
I knew I had seen that car somewhere...had to go pull out my old magazines to find it. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Nice, Donnie....
I once traded my almost mint 66 chevy stepside for an aquaintance's 63 starfire. I asked him how he lowered it and he said he cut the coils. After the trade, I opened the trunk of my new baby to find I was the proud owner of about 350 lbs of busted concrete chunks! Bags are a much better way..

I have several photos of my starfire but my scanner's down for awhile. I'll post one when my kid comes over to fix me up with some needed computer/scanner repairs.

Donnie...got the same problem around here as far as thinking outside the box! Nobody "gets it" until you show 'em and then they're all over it. Weird, huh? Some people have to see things, in the flesh (so to speak). http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

donnie,
the olds look awesome. funny actually it looks just like the photoshop with it dropped you emailed me. perfect. now get to work on making that grille. i wish i live close hell i'd come over and do it for you since i'm becoming a master at it with tryin' to get the perfect fit for the buick. that fucking peak is killing me on my car. everyone else says my mock up looks good but the peak is just ever so slightly different from the hood and it bothers me. you still gonna do the full grille hidden headlights thing? i've got those pics saved i liked 'em so much. and i have to agree building a car that no body really thinks to build makes me smile alot. i got the wildcat the same way now i can't imagine getting rid of it and i'm not usually like that. anyhow the olds looks great. gonna give any hints on paint or will it just have to be a suprise? later...ken....

that thing looks awesome. i love how low it is. how much cutting did you have to do to lay frame? my car lays frame in the rear because it has a huge notch, but the front just wont drop enough. guess its time for drop spindles. beautiful car man.

donnie, it looks damned fine!!
i'm starting to wish i had the option of taking the pontiac to a shop and having mine installed. so far, i've run all the electrical, installed gauges in stock locations in the dash, installed the switches in the dash, test mounted the compressor and tank, and decided where my valves are going.
i still need to: run all the air line, (gonna be a bitch) and then, last but not least, install the bags. (gotta build my own brackets, etc.)
am i in over my head? yup. do i have much choice? not really. i'm not familiar with any shops in seattle that do this sort of work. (that i would trust) there are a few that cater to the import crowd, but....... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
anyways, looks fucking bitchin!!

forsaken, if you have question, KustomBuick is in Seattle and he has done a few ride including several with custom brackets/ installs. I do not know if he is willing to do any side jobs right now but you may want to send him a PM if you have any questions. Me and him did my wagon and he did my first set up in my S-10 blazer. He did the green 64 fairlane wagon that lays out great plus he just did his 53 Buick that lays rockets.. (its is going thru a color change either this week or next)
