How in the holy hell does one go about removing the pinion / bearing assembly from a quick change rear end housing. When I bought the thing a hundred years ago, it was not together. I had to cool the pinion / bearing assembly with dry ice and heat the housing in the oven before the pinion assembly could be instaled. Now it's time to service the bearings. Does anyone know the service procedure to follow to remove the pinion assembly from the housing? There has got to be a special tool or press bed to do this with. I've called Halabrand and just got the run-around. It seems to me they don't want to divulge any information. Sounds as if they want me to send it to them... screw that!
Thanks for any help

Your should try Bruce or Danny Burroughs at Bruces Hot Rod shop in Houston (281-376-5932) or Bill at Bill's Rod and Customs(937-322-5134). They both are very familiar with QC rears. Bill recently went thru the QC in my 5-window.
Tell them Reggie Hill in Round Rock, Tx referred you.

Youm have to put it in an oven and heat to 325 degrees for some time. it expands to alum. enough to take it appart with your hands, provided you have kevlar gloves on. been there and done that just reciently. put it back together the same way. i put the bearings in the freezer before i installed them on the shafts and in the case. every little bit helps. have fun.

I understand Halibrand has changed ownership several times in the last few years.
