Guys,

After waiting 3 months for my rods, they turned out to be for a 235 Chevy and not a GMC. I'm having another set made but they won't be done for 4-6 weeks.

Except for a few minor items the chassis is finished and looking good. I was expecting to have the engine running and on the dyno by now but can't seem to get parts when I need them.

I'll try my best to make it to Indy....hell, I'm looking forward to eating some of Bubba's Spam.

I feel your pain...really. Waited all last year for parts to get made. Waiting now for my intake to get back from welder.

I have gotten good at waiting...however my dogs ass is now two feet higher off the ground.

Mr. Mac, If I build an engine with the stock steel rods it won't be fast enough to take the E.T./ MPH record home with me. Plus the damn thing might come apart and waste all my work so far.

Godzilla, I can't kick my dog's ass cause my wife would cut off my allowance and the car would never get built. Guess I'll just have to keep waiting and cussing. Send pics of your intake when you get it done. I'm starting on mine this week.

Bubba, Thanks for the offer on the rods and engine. I've actually had the block in the chassis and made all the mounts, etc. Except for a few minor items and paint the chassis is ready for the engine.

Guys, thanks for the offers of help, I appreciate it. If any of you have an "IN" with the parts gods please put in a good word for me.

I really want to make Indy so I can bring the trophy home to Kansas City........and, I LOVE FRIED SPAM!!!!!
