Deuce Steel 32 chassis...

Anyone remember what magazine had the article on those...I think it was Street Rodder but I can't find the issue.

Better question...is anyone building one of these, know someone who is, or seen a car on one yet and have pics?

I can't decide if I like it or not...the pic in the ad really is not that great...

The chassis fron the cowl to the front crossmember reminds me of a 1930's English Riley. If you underslung the rear like Riley did you should get a car in the weeds.

Dave Iverson from Spearfish South Dakota penned that design. He now lives most of the year in San Diego. He has an agreement with those guys to build the frame. Rogue knows Dave and the chassis well. I would contact Rogue.

im undecided on it ive seen one car in person trad style it looked pretty good,
i dont like to see the lines of the 32 messed with too much i think you can get a regular frame as low need to be more creative though.

check on price that might be a deciding factor for you

I found it interesting and would love to see one. I was thinking of a doing the channeld thing but I am a big fat dork and I like my room...channel often ='s less room. That is why I was really interested in looking at this set up.

You get almost the same effect by taking a '32 frame and piecutting it at the firewall. V the frame just enough to raise the front crossmember 2" and visually it's close to the DeuceSteel frame. A lot of builders were doing this in the 80's to get a lower profile for '32 roadstrs. You have to shorten the radiator 2", make new hood sides, and section or cut the frame notch on the grille shell to make it all fit but definitely gets the '32 body on a rake and closer to the ground.

Or you could just use a front axle with more of a drop, and use all of your other old parts, and not mess with the proportions.

I believe Iverson designed it but Randy Clark (HotRods and Custom Stuff) is making them on some sort of agreement? Jimmy (rogue) is friends with both Iverson and Clark.
