Just saying hi. I am 47 yrs old, have been into cars since I was about 5. I have always wanted a good quality rod but could never justify something I would be scared to drive. Going back to the roots of rodding is the best way to enjoy a car I could drive. All of the billet stuff always put me off a bit. It takes too much old out of old cars. I like cars such as the Eastwood & Barakat Deuce. No frills, enough power to get into trouble and just enough edge to have most of the neigbours running for cover when you pull onto the road. I have taken the same road lots of folks do, trying to fit in and be respectable with a shiny new car. It's just not for me. It has taken way too long for me to get back to doing stuff for me, building a truck for me. I look foreward to having half the town wondering why I would drive a brush painted 40 year old pickup as a daily driver. They may not get it, but I don't care. This site looks like a great place to connect with other people who feel the same.

Thanks, I do feel welcome. There are so many people who seem to think on the same lines as me that this already feels like home.
