Hi. I'm a newbie. I currently know nothing; but, am hoping to learn alot from you guys. My boyfriend bought me a 1927 T Roadster Pickup and I am going to try to build a little hot rod out of it from the frame rails up. I like the idea, but am a little daunted by the task. This will be my first and hopefully not my last hot rod build. I will post pictures as I get them.
A little background on me: I've only welded once (on a trailer fender and it didn't turn out too good since the wind was blowing and I couldn't see through the mask very well). I'm hoping to get better at the whole welding thing before I try to put the frame together. I have done body work before (I've been told that the jeep is a "good twenty-footer"). I've yet to try my hand at painting or pin striping but hope to do both with this project. I am going to be helping my dad chop, nose, deck, and lower his 1951 2-Door Merc. We'll also be doing a full chassis and engine swap (not quite sure which chassis or motor he wants to go with yet). I've always been interested in cars/trucks/motorcycles, pretty much anything with wheels. I never had the opprotunity to work on them much, except with my dad. He's the one that would let me hang out in the garage while he worked on stuff. He's the one that brought me to my first car show. He's the one that tells me I can do anything (even if I mess it up the first five times). :)
P.S. My Boyfriend is going to be helping me ALOT (whether he knows it or not!) :-)
