Impalaman1.
Born and raised in the bay, life long passion for cars.great grand father, grand father, father and now me.... currently working on a 68 impala.... thus the name Impalaman1.... Also a 14 year member of Impalas car club. First car I built with my dad to which he still has was a 1970 roadrunner. The roadrunner is all done and boasts a 383, 4 speed, posi rear..... fun ride! great family fun and great time with dad! My car the impala has been a fun toy and will continue to be. It has a built small block backed by a turbo 400 and a 12 bolt posi. suspension is via a fast bag setup and compressed air.
current project.... to which is the reason for joining..... I met a H.A.M.B. member while I was out to dinner at the local grub spot... and we started talking about cars because of my club shirt..... he had on a rodders journal shirt..... we clicked! thanks.... you can chime in if you remember who I am.
well fast forward from the road runner and impala (not finished) to the next father and son project...... 20+ years ago my great grand mother handed down one 55 merc.... one of which my great grandfather purchased new. It was handed down with the intention that we would some time restore the car. and there it has sat for the past 20 years waiting patiently... now since we have forwarded to today...... we have started the project.! so let the fun begin and I look forward to reading as much as I can and to learn from everyone.
Thanks so much!
