It's a slow rainy Monday, so I thought I would post a few new '03 Pile Up pics for your viewing pleasure.
There's two pics of a gorgeous Model A that I'm still crazy about. I've posted this one before, but these are better shots.
Enjoy!

Simply a neat car. This car never made it into the main show area. I shot these in the spectator parking lot. Show up early next time!! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

MikeO, the Pile Up this year will be at a new venue. A asphalt stock car track near Morris, Il. I'll PM ya later with some good data.
Right now I would say it's 50 miles southwest of Chicago. Taking my employer into Chicago, will entail coming in the night before and staying the night somewhere. The first Amtrak train running from Detroit does not get in until noon. The next one gets in at 3:30p. ect. Then ya rent a car or have someone pick ya up.
Hope this helps a little.

That gray '36 3 window was so unbelievable nice that would have had a hard time rodding it beyond a dropped axle and mulitple carbs. Seriously. I did not even see that Radir A next to it. I was already 30 min behind to make it to my friend's wedding when I left that day.
Hey MikeO what's your 5 window like? I'm hoping to have my 5 window on the road in a couple months, but the way things have been going, the debut will BE the Pileup. http://www.hunnertcarpileup.com
I don't think you could take the train there, as it's about 55 miles SW of downtown. But you could rent a car I guess. How far away in MI are you?

Dig those pipes!
Joel - That Model A looks like the one Carrol Hamilton of Cincinnati built around '95 or so. There's a couple of mag features on it - one in Street Rodder I believe - he is/was a contributor/photographer to several mags.

That A coupe was local here for a few years and most likely the same one Mutt mentioned. Time frame would be about right and I think it was in primer at that time. Was a Street Rodder Top 10 car a while back and driven in the rain with those rear tires, sold at Indy last year. Ohio to Indiana and now to Illinois, next stop West will be?

I have some pics of the A coupe from Indy. It was a pretty nicely done. The sign in the window said $29,000.
