I am going to have some Zoomie headers made for my Y block. I have the exhaust flange plates already. I want the pipe to be 3 ft long, cut at a 45 degree angle at the flange. Then i want them to have a 120degree bend and go straight. So they will end up pointing almost straight up. What do you think a header shop might charge for parts and labor on that?

Buy a header kit for your engine with stubs already welded in the flanges and put the elbows together however yo want them. Just remember, if the outlets are higher than the inlets, sooner or later someone's gonna fill it up with "water" on ya and ruin the engine....

Andrew,
Do you have a mig welder?
Do you have a hack saw or cutoff saw?
If so, you can order exhaust pipe that has bends in it from the Mail Order kings, or take your pattern made from a piece of clothes hanger to a exhaust shop and have them bend 8 tubes up for you.
Make your own set for $100 or so.
