the law seemed very relaxed....police were riding up and down constantly but there again they see it every year....the red roadster in the first pic has got the sweetest sounding motor i`ve ever heard ( i think this is the fastest flathead in the UK...might be wrong)he left that space at a rapid rate of knots

Missed you there, but only stayed a few hours. Saw Daisy & Taildraggin as well as Limey, but that's about it. My 2yr old was a bit anxious to go home & not feeling real well. What with the weather & the beach shut, wasn't a lot to do...

I believe that's Jim Turnbull's roadster & he did win the flathead meltdown last year, so currently is the fastest (quickest?) flatty on the island. I talked to him last year at the nats - he's got a Joe Abbin, Roadrunner Engineering blower on there! It DOES sound sweet!

hey nads you aint kidding about the conditions...i`m sitting here shivering and aching now and i feel like shit.....no english cars i`m afraid..in fact i reckon i only saw 1 consul and that was on the way back to our motel....a few cars were parked up along the main road and i was sorely tempted by a `59 buick` (invicta i think) that was up for grabs for £4000 but the wife looked at me like i`d just jumped of the nearest space ship.....she wants a `fatter` car....her words not mine...
Ernie...were you there in the afternoon? i was the one holding the traffic up to get some shots...the miserable conditions got the better of us all so we took a slow ride back to yarmouth....

the red impala belongs to or did belong to (it was up for sale in custom car magazine for approx. $21500)a guy called ian drury who used to own a red oxided pick`em up that looked a lot like draglinks old car( he rolled it on the way home from a show last year) fully bagged with astros..it does stand out
