We went to J.Ed Horton's BBQ yesterday in Belton,South Carliona,,,,,,,,,,J. Ed builds drag racing frames for some of the top funny car drivers,,,,,,,some as far away as the west coast.
He has this BBQ twice a year and is open to drag racers and hot rodders alike,,,great food,,great people,,Duece Roadster(hamber)made the trip and brought his 85 year old dad.
the real stand out was a fresh just finished Plymouth,,,ol' school,,,hell,it looks like a 1962 Hot Rod cover car!
Enjoy http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif HRP

I like the overall look of the car.....except the flames, that's my only dislike. Still a nice car, though. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Boones, I could show you some shit that would blow your mind in Easley, SC. Rodder's Journal type stuff.
The guys name is Greg Porter. He is from Easley. I'm horrible with names but the car and Greg made such an impression that I remembered. He is a friend of a friend. I saw it about this time last year and, 'cept for the flames, it knocked me out. That Hemi sounds like f'in dragster firing up and each one of those carbs is a carb - in working order. His son (forget his name) has a little rod shop in Easley and had a nice, traditional look, Model A sedan going together.
Lots of NASCAR tricks on the chassis of these cars. These boys have a little stock car racing in their blood I believe.
Both are super nice guys.

Yes, his name is Greg Porter. He just opened a Rod Shop in Easley, SC. His '55 Gasser is rolling just this week. His son, Toby, helped me on my sedan. And YES, there a many COOL cars in SC, and some new ones about to come out.

31sadan, welcome man. You might want to do an intro in a separate post. Who you are, where you're from, what you drive, pics of your girlfriend/wife/both... that kind of stuff. These folks appreciate an intro from a new guy.
You know Tommy Brooks from Easley? Yours wasn't the sedan Toby did with wide whites and apple green '35 wire wheels was it? I seem to remember that car was a '28/'29 though.
