View Full Version : Wizard (pinstriper) ...a HAMBer?

I was told just the other day (by my brother) that the Wizard was a HAMBer. Is this true?
There was a cruise this past Friday (the 7th) and my brother talked to him. Bro told me that he (Wiz) wanted to talk to me. He also mentioned that the Wizard was a member (or knew of) the HAMB. He is a grey beard, a pinstriper (I recognized the name from Northern Rodder mag), and a big time traditional rod guy.
I have never met the guy and I would assume that if a guy who is known as the Wizard would use that as a screen name- but I recall no such person here. Anyone know him?

<font color="green"> "Wizard" pinstriper from Tulsa, OK
or
"Wizzard" guy who sells pinstriped stuff from Iowa?
Either way, I don't think either are HAMBers and a quick check of the User List shows no Wizards.

There are probably 100 self declared "Wizards" out there. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
The one formerly in Northern Rodder spells his name "Wizzard",
his web site used to be www.wizzardscastle.com. (http://www.wizzardscastle.com.)

Is that the same guy that is pimpin' Myers art on T-shirts?
Does the "Legends of Pinstriping" thing?

Or do you mean Wizzzard (triple z), the Finnish pinstriper
Pekka "Wizzzard" Mannermaa? I guess he have visited HAMB...

<font color="green">You understand correctly, I believe that is where he is from.
If you ever have the opportunity of meeting my darling spouse, ask her what she thinks of him.
Just be warned, her dad was in the NAVY for 22.5 years and handed down his colorful vocabulary.

Northern/Southern Rodder? all I need to know, this guy is a scheister. Someone at our open house today had a Myers shirt on..........I didnt know any etails but I felt queasy for no apparent reason....or was it?

<font color="green">He actually has Myers permission and Myers makes a royalty off each shirt sold.
I know how much, it isn't much, but at least the guy isn't ripping him off.
The guy is just generally a jerk.

Hey Broman. I saw him down at the cruise also. He had a big truck lettered up. Something about "Flying eyeball reunion" Davenport Iowa August 14-15. I think it had a web page listed by the same name. The guy looks shady to me. Kurt

Welll, This is an eye opener.
I would have never guessed he'd turn out to be a questionable person. I was kinda hoping to here that he was a good stripper and a prince of a man.....
I might talk to him anyway, but keep my guatd up.
Thanks.

I would bet Wizzard would sell more shirts if he still had a web site.

I think the wizzard you want is the same wiz of Wizzz magazine.

I don't think he is a member, but I know he is a spectator on here occasionally. I have done some minor business with him and everything went well. That being said, it appears from conversations I've had with him and what I pick up, he has rubbed a lot of people wrong in the past. Either way, he puts on a helluva show in Davenport in August. I don't know of too many events where you go watch 15 pinstrippers working in the same area. To be able to get a panel from the panel jam for $50 seems like a great deal to me. Unfortunately, the car count is usually low, which I wonder is due to past dealings other people have had with him? Looking forward to going back in August!

Come to the Detroit Autorama. We had 85+ Pinstripers last year,
should be more this year.
Probably had more than 15 Stripers at Billetproof Michigan last year too.

Lead East in New Jersey attracts a lot of stripers as well, but I guess that would be a long haul.

Lead East used to attract a lot of Pinstripers. Not any more.
