I've been on alot sites lately that preach vintage but what I keep finding are just more off the shelf builders who brag about their new bolt-ons. I hope traditional hotrods means traditional hotrods.....

Thanks for the welcome. I don't blame people for building what they want the way they want to, except when they claim it to be something its not. I just don't get where the vintage is in something with new parts hanging from it... To me fake mags, bolt on 12 spokes, and finned center bolt sbc valve covers are a discrace to the vintage scene. Its sort of like a chick with fake tits; they look good but they're still not on the same level as the real thing.

Dave:cool: I like the look of em' too but I'd rather play with the real ones.
Thanks for the welcome, I've been payed to build alot of yuppied up billet queens over the years and its just not me. I wanted something that really is vintage, not just another faker, so the bug is really basic but the parts list is pretty cool. The car actually ran back then but it was still VW powered. I'm farther behind on the build than I had planned to be but if can find a few things it should be ready for a shakedown run by the end of summer.

Welcome!

You'll find Tradional here! A few O/T "shelf builds" too, but for the most part the real deal.
