I have a set of Chevy late model small heads casting #14101083. I was advised that they are 64cc smog style with swirl fin cast into the intake runner. They have 1.94/1.50 valves and have about a 150cc intake runner.

What's the history behind the swirl fin (obviously to get better flow) ..but would these heads be suitable for a tuned port top end? I'm looking for mild performance..are these good heads?

thanks
ED

<font color="green">MAN,

I'm slipping!!!

I missed that you are a brand newbie.

It is customary to do an intro with who you are, what you're working on, pics would help.

Mullet mobiles don't go over so well, so make something up if you have one. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

RASHY:

Signed up to the HAMB some time back (year or two?) and was posting...don't know why it shows me as a newbie..probably because of time span between posts?

Have an old (outdated old) web site at www.way.to/ZIP (http://www.way.to/ZIP) of my 33 Chevy project. Since then I have moved back to Buffalo, NY and also got myself into a 79 Vette project and a 79 Harley shovel project. The vette just needs to be painted next month and the Harley is DONE!....

Been collecting SBC Tuned Port Injection units (have a few now) and want to set up my 33 Chevy with one. I found the set of heads mentioned in my first post and may use them with a TPI unit. They look like decent specs...still don't know where I found them! Great getting old...

Just wondering if the heads will be a decent match for a TPI unit..
