I'm really tired of how sloooow starblvd is these days. Yea I know it's free so what should I expect. Well it's still a pain so I decided to put some pics on fotki. Seemed real easy to creat an public album so I did a small one with pics of my shoebox. Now I want to create a second album and I can't figure out how to do. So how can walk me through it? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I've used Fotki quite awhile now. What I've done is create a second account and link the first to the second. I'll have go back and check if there is a different way.

<font color="green"> For what it's worth, I've switched to Photo Bucket (http://www.photobucket.com) It's free and real easy to use.</font>

I've been using Fotki for a while and I've been pretty happy with it. I think the free acct is limited space and no linking vs. the pay acct with unlimited space and linking.

You can check my album out at http://public.fotki.com/RacerRick/ if you're curious... I know Rashy is! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

To add an album or a folder, just click where it says Photo Albums on the left side of the screen and then at the bottom left side of the screen there will be area called "Folder Menu" with the options to add albums and folders. Just follow the prompts. Lemme know if you have any other questions.

I've been using Fotki for about 3 years now and it's by far the best Photo Hosting site out there - $30/year for unlimited storage and the ability to link to pics!

Rick pointed out how to set up albums but if you have any other questions about them just holler.

Feel free to check out my albums... Click Here (http://wackydave.fotki.com/)

Dave,
Thanks for the link to your site. It looks like it's well worth the $30.
It sure didn't take me long to use up the free space http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I don't understand why you would not just take the same $30 a month and put it into a Web site, so you can have complete control of all of the contents.

HTML isn't that hard to learn, and there are lots of programs that make it easy if you aren't interested in learning HTML. There are lots of people who would help you.

That's $30/YEAR Dave and I currently have over 35GB of pics in my account and you can imagine the bandwidth usage - $2.50/month is downright Cheap for that much storage and traffic!

You're right, Dave. I read it too quickly.

That's an awful lot of space! (My entire Web site is only about 15 megs.)

I think the free trial version has like 10Mb storage space. Great pics fuelpump, but you should shrink the size of them so you can get more on there!! Computer monitors won't do justice to the detail quality a digital camera can take so you are just wasting space!!! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif You should be able to get a pretty good pic to be about 30kB to 40kB or so which will give you between 250 - 300 pics on your free fotki site!!...just a thought...love the shoebox!!
