I could have sworn I registered, but I've been lurking for a couple years now; hence the stupid sig. I do post a bit on Ryan's other forum, garage journal. My user name is my last name. Pretty original, I know.
27 years in central TX, been getting greasy since I was 15 with my first car, a 65 Stang (yeah, yeah).
Interests are all over the place - from traditional rods to lowered trucks, to my current project, a pretty stout 302 in an 2200 pound 85 RX7. If it helps, the RX7 has "patina" in the form of nasty paint. ;) Other hobbies include wakeboarding on Lake Austin and working way too much.
I like cars. Lots of cars. Loud cars, fast cars, cars with character, cars that are driven like they're supposed to be. Never entered a "show" and don't plan to, but I like racing at the track, autocrossing, and cruising. Cars keep us young and working on them keeps me sane.
Still kicking myself for letting go of a straight, solid, 50 Ford 4 door (with the original flattie!) a couple years back. I'm always on the lookout for a running (sorta) 49-50, but probably a 2 door. Also looking out for a 69-72 Chevy to tow my boat if I sell my 95 GMC, lowered 4/6 on Impala rims.
Mostly here to glean more info, because I can't learn enough. Still learning how to weld better, want to get into upholstery, and a million other things.
So, yeah, there's some disjointed info about me. Now I shouldn't get yelled at for not making an intro post, right? We'll see!
