Well, not entirely true, but almost! My pops has been a body man since about the time I was born, going on 33 years now, so I've been around cars and building them my whole life. I was lucky enough that he has taught me a TON of shit over the years, but even luckier that he pushed me to go to college, and now as a bean counter, I can do actually afford to build some of the rides I've loved all my life.
Although I can't truly say I'm a traditionalist like some of you guys, I do love the old school styling so I guess that's why I'm here now. I recently bought a '40 buick business coupe, and while I haven't really decided what direction I'm going with the build, I'm leaning towards the traditional look.
I'll attach some pics of some of the cars I've built, I'm not really an all out show car kinda guy, I build them nice enough to be proud of, but not so nice that I can't beat the piss out of them on a nice day... If it's not rolling, it's not really a car in my mind... plus, half the fun is fixing what I break anyway!
Guess that's it in a nutshell for me, I've got 3 kiddos and a pretty understanding wife considering all the time my "other woman" hobby seems to take up....
The fellow in the picture of the '34 is my dad, unfortunately that one wasn't one of our cars... but it was only my second time doing flames, the first was the fridge, and most recently was the F150... I'm a sucker for some fire!
Hope you guys enjoy the pics and can't wait to make some new internet buddies on here!
