Congratulations, I'll have to come by and see it once it's done. BigA, on pole buildings, they pour the floor after the walls are up.

Hmmm, I'm guessing you guys on the wet coast don't get the concrete heavin' ground frost that we get, eh? Offhand I don't know what code is around here, but when we poured my old man's pad we dug halfway to China.
Either way, I'm still friggin' jealous. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Shoulda made those doors higher. You'll never squeeze that Tall-Boy Falcon Wagon in there! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Wish I had a pic of the wagon for those who don't get the inside joke.
Oh, Don't forget the big-assed engine hoist beam.

Jerry, I think there is a rule against using the word "chop" in a post about an Erection...
It's gonna be a great shop.
I'm glad to see you went vertical far enough to have a lift.
And maybe even an attic or at the least a mezzanine.
Gotta get me a shop like that.
Gets old spending 10-15 minutes converting my garage to a shop and then converting back.

Thanks for the support, and for the erection envy http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I went as big as the city would let me. 24 X 40 with 14' walls, 6/12 roof. It's still not big enough, but better than anything I've ever had. I plan to loft at least 1/2 of it. That should help make some room. It should get a floor this week, and be finished next week. I'm only a month behind schedule, but at least it's finally happening. I was able to buy one lift, but I'll have to wait for the other one. I pretty much "blew my wad" http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif on the building.
BTW, the wagon is under the blue tarp in the left side of the pictures. I think it might fit in there.

How big are your footings? did spokage give you a lot of grief in checking your plans? I've never seen walls up before a slab. Congratulations.

The biggest problem was the setback. 60' from the front property line. The line is 15' from the street. So now I have a 75' driveway that I can only have 3 cars in legally.
Just stupid. And they were assholes about it.
It's a pole building. The posts are set in 3' of cement, then the floor is poured after it's framed. It's much cheaper than stick built.(and will outlast me!) I had them set the gerts between the posts, on their side, so I end up with 6" walls, and can insulate some more & hang the sheet rock on them.

Looks great. better have the inside portion of the roof insulated now, as later it's a bitch. been there & done that after the fact. looks like it took a lot of Viagra to keep it up that high???. ha, ha.

nice looking shed TB. I know how much fun it is building a new shed. Built mine over the course of a year. Now I am in it all the time, even now on the comp. Mine is 40 x 25 10 foot walls. is going to be fun doing the electrical on yours being so high. It looks good though.
