Spot light for 55 Ford ??

<font color="red">This is for sale on Ebay at the moment. I can't find any pics anywhere of one fitted to a 55 Ford.
I don't want to bid on this and when I get it find it is the wrong mount. Can anyone help? Does anyone have a clear pic of one on a 55??

Well, they DID offer one- two actually. I have a copy of a Specs and Accessories manual in front of me. Unfortunately, the pics of the options are not photos, they are sketches. Neither one shows that knobby looking thing on the top of the light housing in your pic, but that might have been lost in the sketch room.
It shows that they offered two different spotlights, one with a mirror on the back side, and one without.
Neither one shows that coverplate. The base of the one with the mirror does look just like the base of that one, the little "L" shaped piece on the bottom of the light housing.
If I had a scanner I'd scan the pics for you, but unfortunately, I don't.
It might be the 56 one.
I'd be willing to bet you could MAKE that one fit, even if it wasn't, but that base really looks the same.

The base piece is the only thing that makes it a "55" ford spotlight, all those spots with the mirrors attached like that are usually aftermaket ones, the ford one has the mirror built into the back housing of the spot
