Ryan,
Why is my new McAfee Security software thinking our beloved H.A.M.B. is phishing? I've had the new software installed for more than a month and today I get a Phishing alert on one of the threads. I'm on here a couple of times a day, everyday and this was the first alert for phishing I've ever had. What's up? McAfee suggested I block this site, which isn't going to happen. Please explain. PM me if you need details on what software and version I have installed. Thanks.

I think your questions would be better answered by mcafee as we haven't changed a thing and we certainly aren't phishing...

Ryan,
I'll check it out with McAffe when I get a chance if it happens again. Things are pretty busy right now cause I'm starting a new job. That also means I won't be able to get my "hot rod fix" as often everyday.

Having been a user of PC's since 1981 it's my opinion that McAfee security systems (as well as Norton's) are both a pain in the butt. Both are necessary evils and both are resource hogs. There are alot of products out there that are far better. Unless McAfee has changed I suspect you may not get an answer or at least a good one.

Phishing can come from anywhere.

Do online banking - go phish
pay with credit card - go phish
Thats what phisher's want.

Posting on the HAMB - they could care less.

The HAMB is the last plase Phishers would look.

Trust me -
