hello fellow HAMBer's theres a old chevy that i havn't seen but is supposidly pretty straight for under $800 and that is something that i might be able to afford with my cash flow. So I was wondering if anybody had any pictures of real neat old chevies from the 50's 60's or even now. Well thanks. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

This was advertised for sale last year. I liked it. 327, four speed.

I guess I got too excited, that's a '39, but you get the idea. The '38 is one of my favorite cars. My Dad came home from the hospital in a brown coupe (my grandpa's car that grandma drove all through WWII, even having repainted the same color so he wouldn't be upset when he got back). Later on he had a friend with a Cragar S/S equipped, 235/3-speed car (updated motor) that they'd pull the plug wires on and go cruise drive-ins in. Nobody wanted to race 'em! It too was brown- rootbeer brown metallic.

I'd like one with a dual-quad 409 and a straight axle.

Well, it's not a gasser or a custom, but it is my 38 Chevy:

I hope Jim Marlett doesn't mind me scarfing a couple of his pictures. This 38 Chevy coupe could be a clone of mine from about 66-67. Notice the jacking blocks between the axle and front springs just like mine. Weight transfer baby!

I put a 383 Chrysler and torgue flight in it. Spun a bearing and replaced it with a 340 HP 327 and a muncie. Needless to say I have a soft spot for them.

Here is Jim Marlett's site (http://flatheaddrag.com/wir60s.html)

Not real HAMB friendly, but here's one I've been helping a friend piece together for a few years.

There's one of my BIGGEST MISTAKES!!! While on the quest for a Willys, I passed on this car, in this condition by a disgruntled restorer for $17.000 about 6 yrs ago:(:(:(:mad::mad:. Injected Small block/4-speed, and the guy was frustrated over the clutch linkage. Let me have it guys, I sure deserve a thrashing. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v210/rustytoo/0511sr_la_32_z-1.jpg
