After removing leafs from the package to lower/soften the ride (61 PU), what is the “formula” or how do I determine the proper length shock to go back on??

The shock should be in the middle of it's travel at ride height. Monroe shocks info (http://www.monroe.com/catalog_lookup/ocl_miscappinfo.asp)

It's relatively easy, just check what dimensions you need at full compression and extension. Then get a shock that has the right lengths and end mounting. Like Unk said and gave you the link to.

Damn good question.
F=KX
K is the spring constant of the spring
X is what your trying to find out
F is the weight of that corner of your car times some G force.
Question 1 is, what's that G force? Question 2 is what's your new spring constant. I went through the same thing on the coupe and never found an answer.
You could do it another way and just calculate the distance the axle will travel if you hit a bump stop and then double that distance to get your travel. I would suggest adding some cushion, but that should get you there.
Why the heck do you want shocks anyway? We're supposed to be buildin death rods here! Damn gold chainer! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
