When I read "T-vette" I cringed. I actually kind of like it. Too bad the pictures are so shitty.

Yeah, that's a pretty good price for a style of custom that is getting pretty rare.
I'd go full Moon's for the wheel treatment and put a Paxton blown y-block in it for power.
And it needs to be a different color. Too many red T-Birds out there. I oughta know, I have one of the bright red beasts. LOL
Like someone previously said, it is curious that there are no interior pics. Wonder how bad it is? Mexican blankets? LOL

bttt because it is so cool.
Back end looks like a Kit car.
"original bucket seats"? ... Didn't they have a solid all the way across the back bench seat?

Corvette Running gear?
Isn't there a guy in Florida making glass replicas that take whatever running gear?
It sits about 6" higher than a stock T-bird!
"The interior is Ford as well" Why point that out?
I like the custom touches, but I don't think it's a FORD Thunderbird.
Just be warry or get more info if you plan on bidding...

That certainly might explain those ugly-ass wheels and tires as well as the very smooth look of the rear pan and related parts.
That would be really disappointing if they were trying to pass off a kit as a real T-Bird.

It's not a kit car.
There are too many things on it that are original (radiator, windshield frame, hood latch mechanism etc) for it to ba a kit car,
Some has however, filled in the rear valance... the original '56 birds had a recess just under the deck lid where the spare tire holder went. They also had a gas filler door in the deck lid. It appears as though the cowl vents are still there ('56 bird... none on the '55) but the wind wings are gone... (you can see where they were though)...
Anyway, for a piece of history... anything under $10,000 is a BARGAIN.
I bet if you looked long enough... you'd find it in the little books...
Sam.

There's a place here in Madison that makes glass Thunderbirds called Regal Roadsters. They make a similar looking car to that ebay one but the details are different.
My old man has an almost cherry '56 Thunderbird. I need a tub of butter and a crowbar to squeeze my fat ass behind the wheel, but it sure is a pretty little car.

There's got to be a story behind this car. Why is it so cheap? It could certainly be cool if the wheels were changed like some others have said. Something about it scares me though...
