One of my oldest and closest friends from grade school was just over and told me the bad news. His beautiful 1967 RS Camaro he owned since we were 15 years old was stolen from in front of his house last weekend.Man I went with him in the summer of 1988 to buy this car along with his late father. It makes me sick!!!..We had alot of good times in that car,I wrenched on that car for all its 15 years, helping him out and getting it tuned right,it was like my car and part of the family,.
The car was a jalopy shit box when he bought in 1988,he paid $2000 for it and we all gave him shit over it and was laughing at the fact he paid that much for it.Throughout the years though he had the car fully restored with new black paint blue RS stripe, new interior ,Vette engine,I loved that car!!..And now just like that it was taken from us.
He lives in a upscale neighborhood in Fremont and in a quiet court, he never had any problems with this kind of theft, nor does he have and enemies,Fremont and Newark have been getting hit with auto and parts theft in the last few years, they are an organized group that targets certain cars and locations according to the Fremont PD,which is more that what the Newark PD told me when I was hit three times last year!!......
The only good thing was, he was fully insured and they appraised the car at $23,000!!!Man!! Look whos laughing now!!..The money still wont replace what that car meant to both of us..I'm speechless.... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I feel his pain....only my A-bone pickup wasn't insured when it was "liberated". Hand removal for thieves is lookin better every day. Here's a little photo of my ex-pickup in case one of the new guys may have seen it.
I'll bet your buddy's Camaro is being sold at several swapmeets and maybe in the garages of a few unscrupulous rodders that aren't above buying hot parts...piece by piece.
Or maybe it'll make a Japanese businessman happy as he screams down Nickoshama Ave.in it. Damn thieves!

No they won't! Shitbags like that always come out smelling like a rose. They spread their shit so thick, cheat on their wives, screw their friends over then make new friends, get a new wife because they get other people to believe the bullshit they spin.
I don't believe in Karma at all. One time, I saved a dog from getting hit by a car. 2 hours later my own dog bit me and ripped my thumb wide open. It didn't close up for 6 days. The last time I stopped to help someone broken down on the side of the road, MY car broke the next day.
I'll believe it when I see it.

Lowandgold, who's doing what? Time to set up a surveillance camera. Catch them with their pants down.

I bet 75% of all crime is related to drugs in one way or another. I say ...kill all drug dealers and the whole country will be better off. Maybe then we will be able to keep what belongs to us.

a thief is a thief, a drug user/seller does not nesessarily make one a thief! i know of plenty of drug users who value the santicty of ones possesions more than most "honest law abiding citizens"

get a clue pete, its not drugs that make thiefs and criminals, it the fact that drugs are illegal, thus making otherwise honest people have to deal with the "criminal element" just to get their drugs.

maybe we should get rid of all cars because some people get drunk and crash them? same logic.

that said, thieves suck, and i support the removal of limbs for theft!

and YES KARMA WILL get them! sooner or later, it might take till the thief is 80, but it will get him, and he will be looking over his shoulders in fear every day until it does.

I still stand behind my statement. Drug users will kill and eat their own young or sell them to keep their habit going. I have seen people who, I wouldn't call friends, liturally do anything to keep the coke in their system. Sorry, only off topic in a related sort of way. A Thief is a thief but nowadays, I feel most thieves are just trying to get their next fix. Notice I didn't say kill the users only the dealers.
