How do I save or mark a thread so I don't have to go searching through hundreds of threads to find it again?
Thanks

Right above the first post is "Thread Tools". Click this and "Subscribe to This Thread". Up near the top is "Manage your account". There you will find "List Subscriptions".

To save it on your own computer in the complete form. Go to
File/Save as/ (under the save as type) hit / web archive Single
and save it...

Pete-
When you save it this way, can it be viewed without web access, or stored on a disk? Say, for viewing during an internet crash, or on a laptop in the middle of nowhere with no web? Or sharing a file with a non-HAMB member on disk?

I'm not Petejoe, but the answer is "yes". It saves the whole webpage as a .mht file. The file functions very similarly to a .pdf in that it's a standalone portable document that contains all the pictures, formatting, etc of the original document.
I have about three or four or maybe five years worth of hamb tech saved as .mht files.

The way I do mine is I have a page saved in word. I open the Word document and type a line describing the post. I then minimize the Word file and open up the HAMB. When I get to the first page of the post I want on the screen I left click my mouse on the address bar in my browser. This should turn the Addy blue. I then hold down the CTRL key and touch the C key (This saves the addy to my computer clipboard.) I then minimize the HAMB and maximize the Word document. After the line I originally typed in Word about the thread I hit the ENTER ley to step down a line. I then hold down the CTRL key again and touch the V key. This copies the HAMB thread on that new line. Go to the end of the new line and press the ENTER key again. This should turn the HAMB addy line blue. Double clicking on the blue addy line in word will take me directly to the HAMB post without going through the JJ menu as long as my explorer is active.
Been doing this a couple of years now and my Word document is about 7 pages long.
