Thank you guys! I had a great time meeting more of the HAMB ers. I hope you guys got home with out any problems. I have pictures to look through tonight and I'll post some of them tomorrow. To get an idea who was there check out www.carnut.com (http://www.carnut.com) Even though the weather was not the best, we almost hit 300 cars.

Thanks heavychevy and all of the other Big Daddy Alright guys for showing us how music should be played. I have to have you back next year and I'm working on some kool stuff for ya next year I'l give ya a call. My favorite song was at the hotel when you had a HAMBer help you out with "Hot Rod man" It was Lil Mike and he really tore up that song up.

Saturday night Kustomd put some kool fine lines on my 60 Impala's dash.

MercBill cruising around in his heavily chopped Merc towing his tear drop trailer.

Eldon Titus DRIVING the Voodoo Spider around town was way too Kool. I'll post some actions shots of the Spider later on today.

Sodbuster Hot Rod p/u fighting the rain and the north wind to hang out with the kats....

Congrats to Flt-Blk winning the Nickel & Dime award!!

Monkey & The Reverend Jake made the front page of our local paper. The caption in the paper called Monkey; "an Antique car owner..." Man that almost fightin words.

Many more stories just not enough time....... Thanks again for putting up with the weather.

Happy Trails,

Mick

Here is the picture form the paper.......Hey guys can I have your autograph????

Too bad we didn't get down there Mick...looks like the show was a success.

If it's any consolation...we had rain/snow mixed on Thursday around here...and Friday it snowed all day...eventually got about four inches...wet, sloppy, cold, winter...ya never know what late April/May is gonna bring around Denver...

See ya somewhere this summer...

Micky,
Thanks for a great show. We had a great time and you will see us next year. We made reservations for next year at the motel and they said the Host hotel was already booked up for next year. And for those attending next year make sure you eat at "Murphy's Steakhouse". We ate there Saturday night and I had a 12oz ground steak with hand cut fries with gravy on them and a Tea and a slice of homemade Apple pie & my dad had a Burger and fries and tea. Total tab: $14 dollars. And the wait for a table sytem was the "Honor" system(only in Oklahoma).

Thanks for the kind words.... I was wondering if the guys like the shirts? I had planned to do black shirts last year but at the last minute I had the mechanic shirt idea, so I ran with that one. Ron Myers did a killer design and we are in the process of having some more made.....You guys will love next years freebee... "stay tunned...."

Hey Chris,

Saturday I was standing by your Hot Rod and one of our local "car" guys walked by. He built a killer black 32 ford Roadster, I asked why he wasn't out in the roadster? His reply..."he was afraid it might rain." (This was at 2:00 and the sun was out, and his garage was 4 miles away.) I started telling him about the Nelson's trips accross the country & how you left KC around 5:00am to get here...Then stopped and agreed with him...Yes your right you wouldn't have any fun at this show.

Mechanic shirts for next years freebee shirts is Plan B. I'm working on somthing else that will be kooler......

Hey Roger, Chuck left Wyoming on Tuesday and was out of the area before the snow hit. The next day he called to check in with his wife and they had 6 inches of snow. Did you get to make it up to Utah? Say Hi to Dan for me.

Murphy's steak house is real good.......Hot hamburger with dark gravy poured over the top Hhhhhhmmmmmmm G-R-A-V-Y!!! Must be time for super.

Happy Trails,

Mick

I won't tell Mick.

Thanks again for a great show.

And no matter what anyone says, gives you any shit about your trophy pics, I think you did a great job including all the different types of vehicles there.

Of course, our group got a huge kick out of seeing Flat-Blk get that super-kewl tm. trophy he got.

I need a room for next year!

No doubt...it came down from Wyoming...always comes down from Wyoming...nothing to slow it down!!!

Yeah, we made Moab, Utah...it was the same situation the week before yours...we left Thursday morn in the rain/snow and Denver got 6 inches of wet stuff the next day (Friday)...Moab was sunny and hott and gorgeous...I got sunburned!!! Over 700 cars at that event...you should try to make it out to that one Mick...your Merc would fit right in.

The show was killer. The only thing I was a little disapointed in was elden getting the koolest kruiser award. But that was ok he said he really liked it. I'm sorry I didn't get to get around and tell everyone by but I passed out in the car and when I woke up all my buddies were leaving so I had to go. I enjoyed meeting all the hambers again and had a great time well except for having to try and out run tornado's on the turnpike up there when my car decided to crap out. A guy told me that if anyone deserved a hard luck award it was O.P. and I from my car braking down in the middle of that storm and O.P. having to change intake gaskets to keep oil in the motor. Had a great time and glad that I came. I already made my reservations for next year when I left.

Oh by the way does everyone know that micky has been holdin out on us I didn't know untill sat. night that he had such a kool ass 60 chevy flat roof. I wish I had pics of it because I really liked it. 60 merc grill, pontiac bonneville tail lights, lowered with chrome steely's. It was killer hell he ought to drive it to some shows that thing is just as kool as the merc if not kooler. I really dug that car it was kick ass. I'll try and post some pics I took later on. Rash, brigit (my fiance) say's that she had a good time talking with your wife at the show also it was nice talking with you all also thanks for the Meat shirt I really liked it. I hope to see you all at ft. smith.

Thanks Mick,
It was good to see everyone and meet some more.

I appreciate the Nickel Dime parking meter, sorry if my
exhaust drown you out as you were talking. I have it in my
home office and am looking at it right now. I will post a
pic of it tomorrow.

And thanks again Mick for walking me through the whole
awards deal, it's not where I usually belong.

MarkX and I made it back without getting wet.

The rapp'n exhaust gave the awards more attitude. Let me think, would they rather hear me rattle or your exhaust gettin it on? You win again. This is what the Stray Kat 500 is all about, We like to reward the real Hot Rod & Kustom owner. Out of all of the entries yours was one of five picks that were picked by all of the Stray kats. AARP had nothing to do with the award, it was Gap Road Kustoms idea. Gotta Rev it up & Go!!!!

Mickey, YOU SO TOTALLY ROCK!!! In your words, "you are one kool kat!" I love SK500. I have heard rumor of a west coast tradition coming to our show next year, is that true?

Making the local paper is so kool. If you must have my autograph, I usually charge, but I guess I'll make an exception for you. I called the paper to see if they sell the picture, but they told me they only sell the papers now, not the picture.

Thanx again,

Mickey,

Thank you for a great show, dispite braking down and not having my ride with me I enjoyed meeting everyone. I really didn't care who got the trophy as long as it was appreciated. Thats all that mattered to me. Me and Grant built that trophy for fun and I was glad to see people liked it.

Monkey thanks for making me feel welcome, its always a trip to be around you guys.

Lil Mike and Monty I always enjoy your company and Monty I hope you didn't take too big an ass whooping over my drunking paint smears on your hood.

Rashy thanks for "clearing up"(no pun intended) the story of your name.

You guys rock, maybe I'll see you again sometime.

That was OP's car it had a leaking intake gasket. Damn thing used 5 gallons of oil from Hope to Dewey.

That thing was leaking so bad you could see where the oil was running back into the car around the floor shifter.

It was KEWL!

It was funny, Sunday morning, my wife and I were in the parking lot and she pointed at his car and said, " Look, they got that car last night, I wonder why?"

Well, it took me a minute but she was thinking that it was picked for the trash-a-thon because there were so many empty beer cans on and around it.

The whole parking lot was an EPA nightmare,

This thing leaking oil, the two trailered flattie cars, one leaking fuel and the other leaking tranny fluid, some other car puked more anti-freeze than I thought one could hold and then PILES of rubber from the burn-out contest.

Very nice indeed, reminded me of New Jersey!
