I talked to the owner. He's not in the Beatniks.
It's running Olds tailights.
He just had a shop fine tune the bag setup to lower it a few more inches. I'd say it's tuned perfect!

don't want to repeat what everyone else said. the truck looks really nice in the purple. was it flat purple?

It was a metallic purple color, not completely flat, more semi-gloss (satin) finish.

I love it also but... PURPLE is kinda fagggy-like though. Just my opinion here.

That's one tasty truck, I especially like the colour, i was going to go for a satin look (sometimes shiny is to much and matt not enough)
Daisyduke http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
I think in order to chop it like that you would have to sink the glass into the back of the cab. That or Lexan. I'm pretty sure the back window can't be cut.

I've never seen flat purple, but if that's it, it looks good.
I like the truck.
I like the customizing.
I like the color, purple is great on any custom becasue it always clashes with the tail lights and mothers hate it!
I'm confused by semi-gloss as a finish.
Why?
Because to me it just looks like lacquer that hasn't been color sanded and rubbed out yet, it just looks lazy....
I know it's harder to keep flat good looking than it is to keep shiny polished, but semi-gloss still confuses my senses.
Does he drive it that low? I hope... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I saw that truck in Paso last year. It was one of my favorite rides out there.
The purple on it reminded me of McPhail's Chevy when it was purple suede with the lavender(?) metalflake top before it was chopped. Great stuff!
