I just thought I'd post a picture of my project. For those that missed my project info I listed in my intro a while back here's what it is.
52 Ford F6 cab
35 Ford truck grill
29 Ford axle
29 wishbone(I'm going to split it )
54 F250 box sides cut down and shortened.
86 Mercury grand marquis rear frame section and suspension
I'm going with a Ford 300 inline 6 out of my old 86 F150 but am adding 2 carter afb 4V carbs and headers. And the transmission is a 3 spd manual out of a 80 F100.
I'm going to be cutting another foot out of the rear fame section to move the rear wheels forward. And then I'll be fabricating the rest of the frame out of 3/16" wall 2"x3".
I know this is a different combination of parts but it's what I've got so I'm using them.

I only moved the rear wheels up about 6". You sure you need to move them up more? I took a few inches off the top too. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Cool project.

Thanks! That looks cool. I'd like the rear wheels another 3 or 4 inches farther forward then that, then it will be ok. The chopped top definately gives it a better look.
I think I'm doing pretty good so far. I bought the complete 52 F6 for $50 and have sold off most of the rest of it. So right now I've only got about $200 invested in it. And that includes my headers and 2-4V intake and carbs.

That's great old time hot rod project scrounging. Keep it up and you'll have a running truck for less than $1000.

Thanks guys, I'm having fun with it. The build is going slower then I'd like but when you are working with a very limited budget it takes time. Next step is I'm going to pick up the 2"x3" steel and get to work on the frame.
