How to delete ad after item sold?

I'm still a FNG and I've looked more than a little but I don't know how to delete an ad after I've sold the item. I tried editing the thread and WAS able to delete all bumps, etc but NOT the orig ad.

Probably best that it stays there, as is. I'm against making any changes until the deal is done.

Less chance for chicanery and other such forms of funny-business...

A mutual sorta "lock" button for the buyer and seller to each click on when the deal is struck would be wonderous...
Then perhaps a mutual "delete"...

I bet they can do it... I just saw their toolbox.

I agree it should stay 'til deal is complete. In my case, I sold it locally and have got the cash and he's got the truck. I thought there was a way to delete the ad. When I deleted the later posts in the orig thread, the post reverted to it's original place on the board which is WAY down the line. I was just trying to clean up because still a FNG and cleanliness is usually appreciated. I'm trying to do right. All patience is appreciated. Al

Theres really no reason to delete the ad.It can cause confusion.

Sometimes I get PM's wondering what happened to an ad when it's gone.

The best way to handle it is to just edit the ad to let everyone know it is SOLD.
