I want to know what the trickest looking parts off of cars look like that you have come across. (i.e. 1953-1956 cadillac "bat wing" air cleaners.) I just want to know what some other people have found looks cool from other cars that they have put on their customs. Pictures are welcome.

Ummm, okay...I'll bite!
Not so sure I'd call 'em TRICK, but my car came with these funky, fender-mounted mirrors that I really dig...kind of a character feature of the car now!
A previous owner put 'em on sometime in the car's distant past...and I plan to keep 'em there!

Not sure what these mirrors came off of originally...possibly a Ford, I'm told.
The only drawback is trying to work AROUND them under the hood...no fun trying to get to something on the motor with a mirror in your gut!
Still...I think they're pretty groovy! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

These are pretty pitted and weathered...probably break if you tried to adjust 'em!
May just be some aftermarket mirrors...but I am kinda curious as to what they are or where they're from...just to KNOW in case anyone asks me down the road!

My favorite accessory...an after market horn ring designed for a 36 that I adapted to fit a 39 banjo on a 32 column. 30 years of flea markets and this is the only one I've ever seen. Yeah, it blows the horn and turns on the headlights!

I'm sure you are all full of witty remarks, but how about the original subject?

[/ QUOTE ] I wouldn't know why... they were aftermarket installed by the dealer. Should be the same mirror. The correct mirror is what you typically see on Tri-5s by the vent window.

Damn I was getting excited. I have 2 of those mirrors on my 57. I'd gladly give them up for $500-$1000 each!!
