It's probably new restrictions on externally-linked images from your favorite newtork admin.
Same thing here.

Have you tried clearing your cache and temp internet files?
Have you tried clearing your cache and temp internet files?yeah; i'd already done that. i get some pix, just not all. like in the "perfect pic" thread, i can see about half or more, but many just give me red X's.
What happens if you right click on one of the red x's and hit "load this image"?
when i do a right click "load this image" isn't one of the options.
the options are:
open link
open link in a new window
save target as
print target
show picture
save picture as
e-mail picture
print picture
go to my pictures
set as background
set as desktop item
cut
copy
copy shortcut
paste
add to favorites
properties
the ones in bold are actually available to me (at this particular point, anyway), and the others are "grayed out"
i've tried everything i can think of, but i'm not really all that computer savy (even though i tell myself that i am), so i'm prolly missing something really obvious.
try clicking show picture and let me know what that does....
the only thing that happens when i click on show picture is that the little box that contains all the verbiage above disappears and i'm right back to where i was before i right clicked.
OK, so we have narrowed it down to your side then... in your browser, go tools/internet options and then look for your security setting. Make sure it is on medium.
i think we've figured it out (i had some of the im folks help; on the qt).
using "properties" in the box i described above, i went back and looked at lots of the red X's. every one that i looked at was hosted by photobucket. and the pix (like in response #2 here http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=161082 ) that are links to photobucket pix are unviewable.
looks like photobucket has been blocked by our firewall now (i'm at work, don't tell anyone).
and yeah, my security setting was already on medium.
thanx for the help.
yeah, that make sense... I'll look for a work around for ya...
