My boyfriend is a member on the HAMB and I got addicted, so rather than lurking and hoping that someone posts about Buicks, I just decided to get involved. I attend Donut Derelicts twice a month, which means we drive from LA to Huntington Beach at 5 in the morning. So, I am completely nuts. In a good way.

I have a 1954 Buick Roadmaster 2 dr., black with black and red interior. I need some resources for good Dynaflow and Stromberg rebuilders. Once these two things are accomplished,I'll be cruising. Anybody have any Southern California resources??

I envy your boyfriend and a HAMB welcome to you.

Buy a book and rebuild the Stromberg. They are SUPER easy and after you do your first one, you could sit there all day long and put them together like you were chewing gum.

I've done a lot and not even thought about it. Did buy myself a cute tool for adjustment from an old Snap On stash.:D

Welcome Brandy, glad to have you on board. Hope you can find a DynaFlow specialist in SoCal. We'd be more than happy to see a few pics of your nice ride. Also, hope to see you rollin' soon.

I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention. I meant to welcome Roadmistress. I guess I just looked up & saw Brandy. BTW Brandy, I'm glad you make it sound so easy to build a Stromberg. It gives me a little more confidence, 'cause I have had no luck rebuilding carbs in the past.

No pics online yet. It looks kind of like a heap at this moment, lots of clean up needed. I owned this car five years ago, had to sell it, and the guy that bought it let her go WAY downhill without an ounce of attention. Just this year I was able to snatch it back and am slowly but surely bringing her back to life. So, long story short, there will be pictures after I scrape off the seemingly infinite amount of corrosion and grime.

Hell, that's really good news. I think I saw a rebuild kit on one of my Buick links. Any recommendations?

I am at Bob's every Friday, I just don't bring a car yet. I can't wait to cruise in my giant Buick.

Good luck on the clean-up. Car looks good. Those Buicks always had a good stance to them. Meaty:D I'm new here too.
