ok, here are the pics, I picked this one up at the Big 3 swap in SD this year, and these are the first pictures I have of it. it seems to be a 49 TR5, many of the orig parts are still there, and what is missing wont be too hard to replace. I need to come up with new wheels for front and rear, and cut down the front end that was on it.

she was an ugly bike! nobody even looked at it when it was for sale, after we pulled it out of the bunch and had it at our spot I had a ton of offers on it!

I need to take a bunch of parts to get the old chrome stripped, and get the orig front end cut down and on the bike, the tank is off a KZ650, I dont think it looks all that bad, but I will see what I come across.

I like the way its looking, a sprung solo seat, triumph front brake and a 21in front, and a new rear wheel.

Cool bike Greg.....does this mean you Triumph boys are gona start influencing my son?.......next thing you know he'll be commuting back and forth to Albuquerque on a bobber wearing a tie-die T-shirt and letting his hair grow out...hehe http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

those forks were stock stuff extended almost 16 inches!!!

front and rear wheels were 16's, and that tank is on the shelf.

all I have done is change the forks, and unbolt the ugly.
I dont care for the small tanks, I love the look of a large triumph tank, I am searching high and low for a triumph TRW tank.

radshit, there is no influencing your son by us.... he is too into those damn german/jap things!
and Jeem... yes my feet can touch the ground... but I dont have a seat on it yet!

WAYYYYY fuckin cool! I love it, whats wrong with that short front end and huge drum thats on it in the mock up pics? On a similar note I may have found a nice pre unit like steve's thats been sittin in a barn since '67 and I scored a Bultaco small drum brake and 19" wheel.

good to hear from ya, you back home now? you need annother britbike!

that front end belongs to chip, and I have similar fork covers in chrome, and I am going to shorten and rebuild my front end and have it all chrome... that is some sportster drum, and is too wide for my forks, and I prefer the look of the triumph drums with the scoops.
