that wagon is hot, 100% right... simple and to the point...
no small doohickeys to mislead.
Cheers to its creator.
I like the color, but it needs a hood because the front end isn't "finished" with out it.
The carbs are no excuse.
If that's what hes going to run full time, he should cut a finished hole in the hood for the carbs. Roll it in like the "hood opening" on a Roth bubble top car.

I agree on the hood thing. It'd be even better if it had a set of 6x2's that fit under a smoothed hood.
Just $0.02 from another '61 Wagon guy.
how bout some pics of all these 61's..

i couldn't disagree more!! just my opinion, but i absolutle LOVE that wagon!! as is. i think it belongs hoodless, in fact , i would probably like it alot less with a hood. fuck cutting holes in the hood on THIS PARTICULAR car. i have a zillion pics of it, got like 10 of em' on my fridge.
that wagon is a perfect example of why i always say west coast cars kill east coast cars. it would be rare to see a car like that around here. must be somthing in the water out there that makes you guys just know what looks perfect.

I am still working on the paint, we are going to tape off some flames along the side, and paint them the same purple metalflake as the roof....

Pat's been driving that wagon exactly like that for at least five years. I have loved it since the first time I saw it. But his new roadster is the sickest one I've seen. It's the bare metal one shown in the San Francisco Rod & Custom Show and the Goodguys Garage Grown posts.
anyone know if the owner is a hamber??
who has a picture of his roadster??? i'd love to see it.

That wagon, and Steve Seller's shoebox, which was also featured in that article are both friggin' cool cars!!! I've seen the wagon in real life a couple times. Too bad I have never seen the Ford... Seems to be in Japan now.
BTW...
I don't agree at all with West Coast cars killin' East Coast cars...
Look closely and you'll find the bitchenest hot rods on the East Coast too!! (See Hunnert Car Pile up for example)
