Don't think it is a HAMBer. I've only seen it once around town, a couple of weeks ago at the big Central Cruise.

That sure has potential. Tidy it up a little, things like the wiring and fuel lines, change the pipes, maybe get a bit more rubber rake happening and it would be real cool (as opposed to just cool http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif)
Wonder how much it'll go for?

Not really, I checked it out a bit but it was nighttime. I just remember the cards on the side of the body. I remember thinking it was one of the cooler cars that I saw that night.
That car belongs to a streetrod / gold chainer type. I don't really know him, but he seems like a nice enough guy.
The car is his foray into the "Rat Rod" / faux patina realm. He is very keen to point out his painstaking efforts to make his brand new Brookville grill shell look like an old barn find, yet he has taken the bitchin' original steel A roadster body that had real, earned patina and covered it in primer. Completely ass-backward thinking in my book.
The feaux patina deal mkes me shake my head, but I still think it's a bitchin' little heap.

Ever notice that every small block in every rod is out of a Corvette! Chevy musta made a shitload of corvettes when we weren't looking. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Woha, I had to double-check this post to make sure it wasn't my dad writing that! He says that all the time.

Yup, I had no idea that 62-65 283/327 Corvettes came with late 350 Mexican Mr. Goodwrench short blocks till I started talking to rod owners! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
