Mike, them are the aluminum faced mags rivetted to a steel rear, right? Are those also 14"ers? I've got a pair here. Nobody knows what they are, I'm assuming some elcheapo aftermarket wheel that didn't last long. Never seen em anywhere in photos of anything custom Or stock. Neat how them centercaps fit on there. Mine don't have any at all. Hey, how bout that skirt, ever find anything out? Email me

I think they were made by Appliance back in the late 60's through the early 70's. Not positive though. I saw some on ebay before, but I don't remember what they sold for. I absolutely LOVE them myself... I think they would look kickass on my Mustang... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

These are Factory spoked mags ,have fomoco on back, all aluminum,(but did'nt verify it) he said they were on a 63 1/2-64 Ford Galaxie 500 XL and the caps have an older vintage emblem, but far as I know there were no factory mags at that time, so????,I was thinking 66-70 mustang or 65-7 galaxie's, maybe later cougar-tbirds,neat wheels, but I'm really not a late model ford guy , my interest stops at '64 big cars ,'66 for medium to compact sizes. Rooster Its still in the basement,I have gotten to it , playing a lot of catch up here lately.SOON

Mike, go to your local wrecking yard and look in a Hollender wheel book.

They were made by Kelsey-Hayes in the late '60s or early '70s.

Had a set of 5 of those couple years back, traded them around for a set of wheels for my 70 truck, had an odd name on back, not any Ford designation. Would look killer on an early 60s T-bird. Looked really odd on my 51., didn't stay there but about half hour. I loved that 2nd ring around the hub, which would look killer painted body color. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

You say what? They're Solid aluminum? Hmmm. Cool. 14 or 15's? I'd like to put something similar on my 60's rod project. Those center cap badges are a Galaxie "LTD" badge but I don't think that designation came along till 65. And I don't think I've seen em on anything but magnums before, really, so say 67. I think I might have actually seen a few of those things runnin around here now that I've got to edit this to say so! And you're right they were always on 67-68 Mustangs so the caps aren't likely original to the wheels, but still appropriate. Sadly I can't place the particular Mustang's I'm thinkin of to local homes and go look since alotta stuff is "treasure" these days, when it used to run the streets all the time!

NOT to hijack, please keep adding info for these wheels! But while we're on an apparent 60's wheel topic. Anybody ever seen a "MAGNUM 500" tri-bar spinner center-cap apparently for a regular small center hole like 'magnums' had? I've got one(1)(shit)/(cool!)
