Shaved Handles

I'm doing a 1936 Chevy Master 2 door sedan and I shaved all handles. Now I'm stuck with the original hood with handles. On each side.

Anyone have any ideas on anything that would help me shave those handles as well ???

Appreciate any help on this one. I'm stumped.

I don't know what the Chevys are like but I used button allen head bolt, if thats the right name for them, ground a flat spot on each side where the rods hook on and use an allen wrench to open the hood on my Terraplane, I got the idea from my buddy, he used them on his 37 Plymouth.
