Went to Roger's place where we busted apart a couple 39 Ford front axles to salvage the spindles, brakes, and the radius rods I'm going to use on my coupe. Got them all apart except for my radius rods naturally. Guess I'm off to the blacksmith shop this week to see if they can bust the nuts off the radius rods and press out the pins. Then we checked out a couple rats and hauled home part of a model A coupe body for a friend. His kid owns the black T bucket in the pics and he's just gone back to Iraq. This is his second war there. Anyway, here's the links to Sunday's pictures. I had a great day! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Sooooo, anyone have any good ideas on getting these bones off the axle before I give up and take it to the blacksmith?
We tried WD-40, Heating the nuts with the old blue tip, 1/2" Craftsman breaker bar with a pipe on it while whacking the socket with a 3 pound sledge, air ratchet, magic words & secret rodder incantations like Come off you @#$%^&*(, etc. I hate being defeated by a pair of nuts. I don't have a 3/4 drive 15/16" socket with a breaker on it. Naturally.
