clutch...right now, I"m a kid in a candy store...I took a ten year break from building bikes and the addiction has resurfaced BIG TIME!!!...I've got enough to keep me busy for a few months, then I will be doing some selling...right now I'm full speed ahead on building.

Man Hatch... as if I could wait to drive up there already!!! Now you're makin' it worse!!! I've been printin' and cuttin' up pics of BSA's for two weeks....
Hopefully my "throw together" will have half the attitude of your latest! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Skip...we will have LOTS of things to discuss when you come up....photoshop is great, but I've got enough mocked up to show you a ton of options on the BSA..nothin like the real deal http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif....you're gonna dig it!!!

I'll venture his favorite color is the green you find on US currency in LARGE denominations. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

This is the one that's gonna be my first one done....skinny all the way!!!!...gotta love the "Ribbed for pleasure" tank and fender!!!

The bars are six bend pullbacks I chopped and welded...I like em enough to have em plated....

The latest pile had a beautiful 18" rear with a brand new continental tire....the center line goes great with the fender and tank.

It's funny how the look changes with a shorter tail section and slim tank..I think small changes make HUGE differences in the look.

Hatch,

Fill me in on this "slim tank" thing, please. I don't know as much about Triumph parts as I'd like to.

Thanks,
Ed

Triumph made different tanks...the big tanks were popular in England and the stateside guys wanted smaller ones. I'm not sure how many gallons they held, but this is the smallest and thinnest I have in my stash. I'm still relativly new with sixties triumphs....but I'm lovin em....been down the HD road and don't plan to return....Triumphs are cheaper, and in my book....just as clean or cleaner than HD's if built with the proper parts....I just hope they don't get too popular or I will have to find something else thats just a little bit out of the ordinary!!!

Hatch-I like the bike you mentioned a lot...you are correct in that the Harleys have got past most of us in price!
I for one like to see something that is not on every street you drive down and I am REALLY glad to see folks building bikes with BIKE tires on the rear instead of those prostweet bullshit car tire deals with the tripletrees up so hi ya have to look THRU them to ride it [ having to duck walk] it all the time below 20 MPH cause the rake and length of forktubes are insane! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Oh man... let's see, I'm gonna need to bring doggy treats and remember the Torrid Torquer's secret handshake right Fuel Pump? From the looks of current HAMB postings, it looks like it's TOTALLY acceptable to talk about the two wheel hot rods!!! I'll let ya know when my BOSS let's me have a day off http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Hatch, I'm not gonna have to meet you at a separate location and ride blindfolded into the secret lair am I ?!?! BTW, it might be really cool to stitch up a seat for that bike with a rib down the center of the seat.... She'd like the ride even better, ha ha ha http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

my dad and i were escorted by an armed guard from the driveway to the garage on our visit to the hatch world headquarters. and we were there to look at a suburban!!!!

looks like a sweet find. you'll need a bigger space to store and work on them before too long!

by the way, did a guy named pepper call you about the motherload of triumph parts??? i gave him your number.
