View Full Version : Progress!
First I'd like to say, Shifts is a god! My tranny has never shifted so smoothly or actually gone in reverse without problems! Everyone who has riden in it has been utterly amazed! I can't thank you enough!
Also, I decided it was time for that figgin' flexpipe and cherry bomb combo to come off. As much fun as the car is loud, I knew my luck was running out on dodging the cops on that one.
The kid is ready for action...
straight pipe... $15
flexpipe for the bends cuz they didn't have what I needed and because I don't have a bender or welder... $10
misc adaptors $10
cherry bomb... freebie
harley screaming eagles... freebie
the fact that i can't hear my car running at idle... priceless
here i am thinking about some lake pipes later down the road http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
the tips ala Bugman's summer job
The best thing about the tips is that she's super-quiet at idle and just growls when you give her a little gas... for the first time since I've owned this car, I've been able to really listen to the motor hum. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

That's the BEST feeling when you fix something that's bothered you for so long. Especially when it goes so smoothly. Congrats.

Obviously your pride and joy is back up and running and now with a rebuilt trans and good sounding exhaust it must be like a whole new car.

Quick Robin, Gimme a lift to the Bat Cave.
Can't tell for sure... Is that the wire twist for fastening split rail fences or the one for tyin' pole barn lintels?
That car's looking like a lots of fun! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Hahaha, alumninum sculpture wire DrJ. I love the stuff!
I've been wanting to do lots of stuff to the car, but I had so much going on with the fashion show and car show I was taking part in that I never found time until it was all over to get out there! The good news from being so busy was I discovered the perfect leather in the freebie closet at school and now I'm drawing up plans for seatcovers http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Seat covers? I bet that's what the leathers for. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Sweet that ya gotta her running the way ya what huny!
