I'm fishing for some ideas here. Where is the best place to put a master cylinder set up? This dodge I just got has a chevy MC on the firewall. I can't put it where it was on the floor because of the way the camaro subframe was installed. Should I keep it there or try to put it back where it was on the floor? Next question is about swing pedals. I come across sprint car set ups on e-bay once and awhile are these usefull? I want to put a 4-speed in this car and use a hydraulic slave cylinder to engage the clutch fork. Are these easy to adapt to any manual set up and would I have to get any special kind of clutch fork to do this or can I use stock one? This is my first undertaking of such a thing and I want to get it right the first time. Thanks for your help, later plmczy

PLM......
I just finished building a '41 Willys Gasser street car, and used the Wilwood brake/clutch pedal assembly, master cylinders and hydraulic slave for the clutch fork.
Hangs from the fire wall, you have 3 master cylinders, and the clutch slave cylinder "pulls" the clutch fork back as you shove the clutch down.
Works great!

How do you determin the size of MC for your car? Does the size and weight of the car or brake size determin this? Sorry for so many questions, later plmczy

you should keep the master cyl up on the firewall where its at.. I dont remember if the car you just got has a motor and trans yet.. but if the current master cyl is matched to the other componants of the car leave it alone..
my father has a muncie 4 spd. in his 40 chevy. he just picked up a new master cyl and hyd throwout bearing from wilwood I think.. it came with its own hangin pedal and looks pretty slick.. why not just mount a seperate pedal next to the existing brake pedal and go to town?

sawzall, it has a 350 w/700r4 just sitting in it. The MC/brakebooster is just bolted to the firewall with no bracing at all. No pedal on it at all. The bracket for the MC is also the steering column mount. This stuff came out of a early nineties firebird/camaro. I was thinking of starting from scratch as I want to run a sb mopar with a 4 speed. later plmczy

If you call Wilwood, and give the information on what you have , they will tell you what bore masters to buy and use.

cool thank's AHotRod. This is gonna be a fun one. The car has a 79 firebird sub with disc brakes and I plan on using a 8 3/4 rear housing w/drums if it's wide enough. later plmczy
