Running a straight six in my '66 Ranchero, a 250 inline 6 backed by a T5 and an 8" rear end. For the most part I'm into cars from the 1960s because those are the ones I grew up in. Someday I'd like to build a highboy or a shoebox Ford.
Got my start selling lost golf balls back to golfers to get enough money to buy gas for my first car, a '64 F-100 PU. Then I got a job detailing Cadillacs and Buicks and a good friend, M. Beach, took pity on me and gave me a job in his body shop.
That's where I got introduced to hot rods where I met several other folks who also built beautiful hot rods. But after a while all that chrome, billet and shiny stuff got to bright for my sensitive hung-over eyeballs. I could never afford that stuff anyways. All my cars were/are a bit rough, but they all ran great; they had too 'cause I drove the piss outta them. I plan on changing my style a bit by putting my bodyshop skills to work and maybe owning a car that looks as good as it runs. Well, lets get it running first...
I post some pictures once I get the 3x1 Offy head dialed in.
Take care,
John
