This is for real, guys... and I'm not sure how, exactly, to go about this.

I have a welding business in the middle of nowhere Northwest Wisconsin... but the hunting and fishing is awesome. I've been here for 9 years, and have grown to the point of not being able to do some things by myself.

I'm offering some qualified HAMBer a chance to learn anything I know about working with metal. In exchange for their help in the daily operations of my welding business. Which is fabrication and repair of mild-steel, stainless and alot of aluminum. I have MIG, liquid cooled TIG and Plasma. Located in a 40x60x16 shop.

I've decided to start here, on the HAMB, for a number of reasons. Not least of which, is the fact that I "know" many of you, and I think the HAMB sort of holds everyone to a higher standard.

This is not the least bit off topic, as part of the arrangement would be to build rods. Even going so far as to allow the individual use of my shop and equipment to build one for himself... with my assistance.

Working in the shop would be a paying gig...
If the shop is making money, then you make money... That simple.
Working on cars would be a "time for time" deal.

I could lodge the person, temporarily, until we got our feet under us.

I need someone with basic welding skills and a desire to build cars.

If you just need a summer gig, while school's out, that's cool, too, as things tend to slow down a bit in winter.

If you're interested, send me a PM and we can go from there.

MAN THIS SOUNDS LIKE A DREAM JOB! Why could'nt this have come about 10 years ago? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Hell yeah... My three year-old daughter can also hand tools off like an E.R. nurse on M.A.S.H....

Just tell me where to sign... How much better could life get... simple, small, good old fashion work and lots and lots of cars...

If you're interested, why don't you, and anyone else, send me an E-mail with a list of qualifications, past jobs, past cars... etc.

norweld@cheqnet.net

I'll narrow it down from there.
