This is a new car being built in Tulsa,by Joe Hamby #50
Dont know much about the car except the engine that you see is not the one that will be raced. I heard the new slant six will have lots of beans.
Does this J. Hamby hang out on the Slant six website??

Dont know,I know he's well educated about them. I dont think he is a member of the Hamb, he lurks some.
Me thinks I have heard of him on that website, and if that is the case, I damn sure will be the slowest slant there!!!

Might just be a defective mount. They can jam a 2x4 under it, and wrap it with ducktape. It'll be fine as long as its pre 62 ducktape.

Looking in that bottom picture above, am I correct in seeing that the front axle is mounted stationary?
I'm ignorant enough not to know whether this is an issue or not but I am curious to what NHRA or whoever's position will be on this? Thoughts....???

Speed Merchants use solid mounted axles. I think the Ramrods have the same. It works well for us.

Almost all modern day altereds and dragsters have solid mounted front axles, although they are a different design. Most modern altereds and a number of dragsters have sprung rear ends.
